“HKeMobility” is an all-in-one mobile application with personalised traffic and public transport information. Public can conveniently and swiftly search for routes, journey time and fares of different transportation modes and obtain real-time traffic news which facilitate commuting and route planning by the public.

PIS Website

The Parking Information System (PIS) Website is a comprehensive web platform designed for both the Hong Kong Transportation Department and carpark owners. It provides an intuitive and user-friendly graphical interface for seamlessly updating and monitoring carpark information in real time. With a range of powerful features, including vacancy alerts, file uploading, carpark mapping, and user management, the PIS website offers an efficient solution for streamlined carpark information management.

• Led full-stack development, implementing over 10 features including email, SMS notifications, auto data caching, and one-time password handling, enhancing user experience.
• Front-end development using React and various libraries like MUI and TinyMCE to build 5+ reusable UI components.
• Managed back-end operations using Node.js with Express.js to handle JSON or XML REST APIs, facilitating communication between our website, Linux server, and various third-party data sources.
• Optimized data caching with Linux bash scripts and crontab, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval in MySQL.
• Designed efficient queries to extract data from large MySQL tables, improving data processing speed and reliability.
• Using Nginx and Apache for professional web hosting, reverse proxying, and load balancing to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

PIS APP

The Parking Information System (PIS) is a multi-platform app available on both Android and iOS. It serves as a tool for carpark workers to manually update and monitor parking vacancy in real-time. The app integrates push notification alerts and utilizes SMS login for user authentication. Its primary purpose is to streamline the process of managing parking for carpark workers.

My Role

• Created the prototype of the PIS app using .NET MAUI, ensuring seamless cross-platform functionality.
• Integrated the app's back-end with the existing Linux server to share data with the Parking Information System Website.
• Deployed the app on Android and iOS TestFlight, integrating Firebase Crashlytics for enhanced crash detection and reporting.
• Implemented Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications, improving real-time user engagement.
• Upgraded the Parking Information System Application from Xamarin to .NET MAUI, showcasing adaptability and a quick learning curve.

Buyoplace

Buyoplace is a startup company which mainly provides a platform for creating and managing online stores, with all functions fully optimized for mobile devices, saving time and effort for busy store owners. In addition, Buyoplace also offers physical POS systems and marketing programs for businesses in need, so they can handle both online and offline operations and promotions in one go!

My Role

• Collaborated with a team to enhance the website's UI/UX using Angular with Ionic framework.
• Utilized GraphQL to efficiently retrieve and manipulate data from MongoDB, optimizing backend data management and query performance.

Green Hydrogen Production By Solar

• Implemented a Raspberry Pi-based system using Python for monitoring solar intensity.
• Integrated additional sensors to analyze the efficiency of hydrogen production using solar panels.
• Collected and recorded data on solar intensity. Exported collected data to CSV format.
• Conducted data-driven analysis to gain insights into the performance and efficiency of the solar-powered hydrogen production kit.

Plaw (WIP)

• Developing a cross-platform app using React Native and Firebase, focusing on serverless architecture.
• Utilizing Firestore for real-time data management and storage.
• Implementing Firebase Authentication for secure user login and management.
• Leveraging Google Cloud services to handle backend operations and scalability.

Serverless Application

The Serverless Application is a web-based, cross-platform solution built using Flutter for the frontend and Firebase for the backend. It allows users to easily create, view, and manage events in real-time. The app features a powerful filtering system that enables users to search for events by type, such as "Conference," "Workshop," or "Webinar," as well as by event date. Seamlessly integrated with Firestore for real-time data storage and Cloud Functions for backend logic, the app provides a smooth and intuitive user experience. Explore upcoming events, edit existing ones, or create new ones with just a few clicks.

Vyta is an all-in-one solution designed to help families seamlessly manage their senior loved ones’ home maintenance and well-being needs. Built with compassion and usability at its core, Vyta provides peace of mind by ensuring daily needs are managed in one place. Supporting neighborhoods across Ontario and expanding to Vancouver, Vyta makes it easier for families to balance caregiving responsibilities with work and personal life.
